Do you seek the many benefits of yoga but have limitations that prevent you from specific movements? Chair Yoga applies practices of yoga and functionalmovement while remaining safely supported in your chair. Discover how to Move with the body that you have today to maintain range of motion, flexibility, strength, balance, and so important Muscle Mass. This class will incorporate Lite Lifting. (Bring dumbbells or 2 water bottles) We will infuse the importance of movement while learning about specific muscle groups, body systems, body awareness, breathing techniques, brain breaks, and eye exercises. This class is for anyone who can sit in a chair. Working and learning with the body that you have today, with limitations, will allow you to build confidence, resilience and feel better This is your invitation for discovery and fun!

Lisa Wittman


Lisa Wittman has been teaching yoga for over 20 years. She is certified as an E-RYT-500, Therapeutic Yoga, Yoga Therapist and Children’s Yoga. Lisa worked as a paraprofessional for children with special needs and noticed the effect yoga and movement provided.  During her training, she was able to participate in Chair Yoga at assisted living facilities, nursing homes and senior centers.  Her approach to yoga and movement is lighthearted and fun. Her motto: “There is always something you can do to make yourself feel better!”
