Canadian Theatre Adventure - The Shaw Festival and The Stratford Festival

Canadian Theatre Adventure - The Shaw Festival and The Stratford Festival   tbd, 2024  Cost $tbd

Come join us to see the jewels of Canadian Theatre - Shaw Festival and Stratford Festival. They present an unmatched theatre experience and one of the most popular and sought after tours JKL offers. Enjoy two delightful areas with Broadway-quality shows at a great time of the year to travel as we enjoy the excellence of their shows along with the charm and grace of their respective settings.

We start at Niagara Falls to check into our hotel for two nights with a fantastic & scenic Buffet dinner at the SKYLON TOWER Restaurant with a fabulous view of the Niagara Falls area!

At The Shaw, we’ll take in “My Fair Lady,” one of the best, romantic musical comedies as we follow the story of Professor Henry Higgins, a pompous, know-it-all speech professor, and a Cockney, working class girl, Ms. Eliza Doolittle. The professor is obnoxiously confident in his ability to take a street-savvy flower girl and transform her into a high society lady, merely by changing her speaking ability. He wagers a friend he can teach “proper” English, but Ms. Doolittle only agrees in order to improve her job prospects (and a way out of the streets.) Higgins and Eliza clash while unknowingly creating a bond that turns romantic, (especially when FREDDIE, an eligible aristocratic suitor comes along!) This show is interwoven with many memorable songs like “Wouldn’t It Be Loverly,” “The Rain in Spain,” “On the Street Where You Live,” “Get Me to The Church On Time,” and many more, making it one of Broadway’s best.

After breakfast in our hotel the next day, we'll travel to Stratford for time at the charming little town before the matinee, as The Stratford Festival present “Something’s Rotten” a comedic farce, set in the 1590’s. Two brothers, Nick and Nigel, are competing against SHAKESPEARE to write a play when they come to the idea of writing a “MUSICAL” of singing, dancing and acting all at the same time. This show features large song and dance numbers with an over-the-top cast. After the matinee show, we’ll enjoy dinner in Stratford before returning to our Hotel in Niagara Falls. After breakfast in our hotel on our last day, we’ll have time to explore the delightful main street of Niagara-on-the-Lake before coming home. Combine spectacular Broadway-quality shows in the charming Canadian countryside, at a wonderful time of the year to travel and you'll see why this trip sells out!

*Please note that VALID Passports or Passport cards are Required!*

Our escorted tour includes deluxe motorcoach, 2 nights hotel with breakfast both mornings, two dinners and main floor theatre tickets to both shows.
