ILR CULTURAL EVENT - CAROUSEL

We’re heading back to the Ohio Live Opera company in Wooster on Tuesday July 29, 2025 for Carousel, one of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s most moving musicals. Based on Liliom by Ferenc Molnar, the opening sequences are original in style and moving lyrics. Among the most enduring songs from the play are “If I loved You,” “June is Bustin’ Out All Over,” and “You’ll Never Walk Alone.” The treatment of relationship abuse was ahead of its time.

The cost of a ticket, the bus, and a gratuity for the driver will be $97 per person. We will assemble at the Berea Library Parking Lot, gazebo side of the lot, for departure at 11:45 am. Any ILR member may invite a guest. ...

ILR CULTURAL EVENT - The Billy Joel Songbook

August 10, 2025

By popular demand, we’re going to the Blossom Music Center for the Cleveland Orchestra performance featuring the music of Billy Joel, performed by Tony DeSare, piano and vocals. The tickets will be $60 per person, and every ILR member can bring one guest. We will be leaving the Berea Library parking lot at 5:30 pm. At Blossom, we will be seated in the Pavillion. There is a tram that will take us near there, but we must walk down a slight hill to reach our seats. Tickets will be distributed on the bus.
