A Time for Justice by Tom Warnecka

In A Time for Justice three college students traveled to Meridian, Mississippi to register Black voters in June 1964. The three were reported missing and feared dead. In that era, the state of Mississippi was ruled by the Jim Crow laws. White supremacist groups terrorized the Black community. Churches and homes were burned. Black men, women, and children were brutally violated and murdered. The missing college students made front page news resulting in intense national condemnation. Two of the college students were White. The FBI director had washed his hands of rescuing civil rights workers in the South. Where does the Department of Justice and the president turn for help? The attorney general called on a select branch of Army intelligence. Its members were extensively trained and carried out top secret security clearances. Counterintelligence Special Agents Hart and Ryan were given a covert mission in Meridian, Mississippi. Their goal: find the bodies of the three missing men, investigate the crime, ensure an indictment, and support the Chief United States Prosecutor in securing a conviction.

Rediscover Cleveland’s Forgotten Hauntings by William G. Krejci

Hiding in obscure corners and in plain sight, chilling tales from Cleveland’s paranormal past await reawakening. A tale from 1840 places the city’s first haunted house on the windswept commons south of town. Hanged murderers were said to roam the corridors of the Old County Jail, and the 1885 disinterment of the old Cleveland Medical College graveyard led to reports of nocturnal phantoms throughout the excavation. With the construction of Bulkley Boulevard in 1912, many West Side homes were demolished. Also destroyed was the entrance to what neighbors menacingly called The Cave of Apparitions. Take a step back in time with author and investigative historian William G. Krejci on this journey through Cleveland’s long lost ghostly past. Author and investigative historian William G. Krejci was born in Cleveland and raised in neighboring Avon Lake. Aside from the multiple book titles to his credit, he's also the owner, operator, and host of Strange & Spooky Cleveland Tours. With an interest in local history, he spends much of his time investigating the origins of ghostly legends and urban lore, and for six years was the resident historian of Cleveland's famed Franklin Castle.

Sounds of Our Souls by Jack Marschall

Sounds of Our Souls is a collection of poems and short stories that I have written over the past several months. My previous book was entitled From the Heart: Words to Inspire a Weary World. It makes sense those internal thoughts come from the heart and the soul. But I would kindly argue (I’m talking to myself here) that it goes deeper than that. Saying someone is an old soul is a good example. It better specifies the true character of an individual in describing what they do, what they do and how they do it. Legendary rock and roll duo Jan and Dean sang Heart and Soul. I have no doubt the heart and soul are connected in our mind, body, and spirit. And then you have The Yardbirds who, like Jan and Dean, make a convincing argument with the title of their song, Heart Full of Soul. While I am still of the opinion the soul provides the innermost element of emotional energy or intensity in humans, the heart is a constant companion to complete this emotional cycle. Like I said, it can be confusing.
I believe you will enjoy Sounds of Our Soul. It is authored by me but written for you to share and enjoy. As I have said before, love is the bond that connects us all. For me, writing is a privilege that surrounds me with peace of mind. Sharing what I write is why I write. I share my peace and love with you, too.”
ABOUT THE AUTHOR Jack’s professional career spanned more than three decades in broadcast journalism and public communication. He has authored six books of fiction and poetry that resonate with heartfelt messages of empathy, peace, hope and love. Eternally optimistic, Jack addresses everyday life and all-too-common issues like hunger, addiction, poverty, depression, and loss— always with an undeniable emphasis on overcoming obstacles with the help and support of one another. Jack’s rule of thumb for life and living is to cherish before we perish, appreciating what we have while possessing the power to change things for the better. Jack lives with his wife, Sharon, in Berea, Ohio.
