My spouse and I share an email address. How can we register for membership? With our new system, we have been informed that each person needs their own email address. You can get a free email address through Gmail, yahoo, etc. Once you have opened a second email, let the ILR Help Desk know that new email and the member's name. You will get an email to that new email address when the account has been updated and you can then purchase the membership for that person. |

Wait List Not Replying Timely Q: I called to register for a class after being notified by the Help Desk that there was now an opening for that class, but I was still not able to get into that class. Why? The class I wanted to take was full, so I put my name on the Wait List. I received a phone call and an email informing me that I was eligible for the class. When I replied two weeks later or so, I was told registration had closed and I didn’t get into the class. Why? A: When an opening occurs for a class with a Wait List, a volunteer from the ILR Help Desk will reach out to the first person on the Wait List. They will contact that person two ways: by phone and by email and, if necessary, they will leave a voicemail, and a phone number to call. The Wait List has an electronically controlled date and time stamp. The first person on the Wait List indicated by the time/date stamp is the first person to be called. If that first person does not respond to the call/voicemail from the ILR volunteer in a reasonable amount of time, the next person on the Wait List will be contacted to fill the opening. |
Wait List Removing Myself After Being Notified Q: How do remove my name from the Wait List when notified there is an opening for that class? I was on the Wait List for a class. I was notified that there was an opening for that class. I could not figure out how to remove myself from the Wait List and get myself registered for the class. A: When you are notified that you are now eligible to register for a Wait List class, you need to call the phone number the ILR volunteer left on your voicemail to register for that class. There is no method, at this time, for you to register by yourself for that class. That registration must be done by the ILR volunteer. |
Wait List for a class but I have signed up for an alternate class Q. I am on the Wait List for a class, but I have signed up for an alternate class. How can I drop the alternate class? A. If you are contacted that an opening has occurred, let the volunteer who contacted you know that you wish to drop the alternate class and take the Wait List class that is now open to you. The ILR volunteer will remove you from the alternate class and transfer your payment from the alternate class to the now open Wait List class. |
