About
Mare Matthews

Mare Matthews lifelong love of trees began among the oaks of Lakewood. She surprised her dad when she rejected one college campus because there aren't any trees. She earned a degree in Natural Resources with a major in Forest Management from The Ohio State University (which had sufficient trees), then worked for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources before turning to teaching science. Mare is eager to share her love and knowledge of trees with the ILR community.
