History on the Light Side...But Fully Factual
Cambridge, Ohio / Roads, Canals, Rails, and Heroes - The new State of Ohio (1803) was a nearly impenetrable wilderness. My narrative describes the fortuitous agglomeration of events that gave birth to the new era of progress and prosperity, as well as the unforeseen sociological factors that led to the boom's rapid decline starting in the 1970s.
