Bring your sunglasses and suntan lotion as we visit KELLEY’S ISLAND, (Put-in-Bay’s reserved and refined Sister Island!)  We’ll arrive in Marblehead to take the Kelley’s Island Ferry feeling the warm sunshine and the cool lake breezes.  The ferry ride is part of the adventure because it is exciting to feel the wind rushing against your face and see all the vistas on the horizon, like Cedar Point and the many beach areas.

 

When we arrive on the Island, we’ll meet our Open-Air tram for guided tour and our local step-on-guide will share the almost 200 year history of this little-known Ohio jewel.  We’ll include time off the tram to explore the Glacial Grooves (recently made tourist friendly) along with a stop in their historical center.  After our tour, we’ll arrive at Camp Patmos for a Fresh Perch & French Fries lunch – that Kelley’s Island is famous for.  After lunch, the tram will drop us off at Memorial Park so you can explore on your own  the shopping district (literally across the street,) or visit the Casino Restaurant (south of the drop off spot) and have an adult beverage overlooking Lake Erie!
