Here is your chance to enjoy an inspirational and spiritual tour to explore some of the historic sacred landmarks in the greater Cleveland area. The immigrant groups that came to Cleveland in search of the American dream brought their religious heritage and customs with them. Their lives were faith and church centered and they created museum quality houses of worship that still stand today. At each church we'll have a presentation on the history, how they've survived and how they serve their congregation today. We'll also have time to take pictures of the beautiful stained-glass windows, carvings and other works of craftsmanship.

Our current list of sites is Shiloh Baptist, one of our leading African American churches, followed by Trinity Lutheran in Ohio City, an area that was a large German community. We'll enjoy an elegant lunch at PIER W, before we return to Ohio City to tour St. Emeric Hungarian, a jewel-box of a church hidden behind the Westside Market. We'll complete our journey visiting St. Colman Church on W. 65th, and once a very large Irish area. We'll also learn about St. Colman's outreach program that is doing the Lord's work by serving their neighborhood in a non-denominational spirt of giving. We'll depart at 8:30 am. and return about 5:00 pm.

(Please note – these are different churches from our ILR Church tour of 2024.)
