The Great Hollywood Musicals NEW (S24-23)

Tuesdays, April 2 - May 7, 2024 | 06:30 PM - 07:50 PM [VIA ZOOM]

Music in film can be seen beginning with the “talkies” and becoming a legitimate film genre where we have characters singing and dancing which is woven into the narrative of the film. Many of the musicals were derived from original stage plays and then were produced for film. If you enjoy the dancing and singing of Astaire and Rogers or Kelly and Garland, we will trace the origin of Hollywood Musicals from the 30s to the 60s featuring many of the great Musicals.
